Japanese Omakase Restaurant

Two Japanese words define this restaurant: Kawaii and Omakase. The first denotes a Japanese artistic and cultural style that emphasises the quality of cuteness, of being lovable. We named our restaurant Kawaii because it’s an eight-seat sushi bar; it’s small size making it an exclusive luxury experience. Omakase, which translates to “I’ll leave it up to you,’ is a tradition of Japanese dining in which the chef creates a uniquely personal, guided tasting menu. At an omakase restaurant, the Chef steps beyond their traditional role as the cook. Suddenly they’re also the host, the waiter, the storyteller, the guide.
