There’s The Beach, our main restaurant which caters to all palates with its variety. The Bar serves up all the classics but also a creative menu of drinks inspired by the Spice Island. Need a pick-me-up? Stop by Café LUX* in the lobby for a macchiato. Soon you can pop by ICI for an artisanal ice cream cone on your way to the beach or the pool. Coming soon is Samāa, our exquisite Levantine restaurant set right on the beach under the open sky. With Zanzibar being historically at the crossroads of several cultures, the cuisine is a culinary mash-up, truly a kind of its own.

Main restaurant

The Beach is our main restaurant. Located on the beach, near the pool, our day-to-night restaurant caters to all palates thanks to its variety. Our chefs cook up contemporary dishes inspired by the Zanzibari produce and bounty, which is as fresh as can be. The dining style is interactive with chefs at live cooking stations, and the variety is dizzying. We even have a corner dedicated to our Little Travellers. Take your plate to a table al fresco on the terrace, the open-air deck, or inside the grand dining room. The Beach, open from morning till late has something for everyone.

You’ve made it. You’re here in Zanzibar. What better way to celebrate than at our chic bar? Adjacent to our main restaurant, The Beach, our bar serves up a menu of classic and creative drinks. Sipping a cocktail (or mocktail) is that much more enjoyable when you’re facing a shimmering lagoon. And even more so when you know the herbs came right from the resort’s herb garden. The Bar is where you can sit, catch up, relax, and just appreciate the wonders of a holiday.

Regardless of the type of coffee drinker we may be, we can all agree on two things: great coffee and convenience. We have our very own in-house coffee brand, Café LUX*, and it just happens to be located right in the lobby (how convenient). There’s nothing like a coffee at check-in to fight jetlag after your flight. Pop by any time of the day to get your daily jolt of caffeine. We have pastries too!

Innovation meets craftsmanship at our ICI ice cream bar, where we bring the behind-the-scenes of ice cream making to the front. The result is freshly-churned gelato, ice cream, sorbet, and granita–right in front of your eyes. We work in small batches of creative flavours, which change daily. Love a topping? There’s quite the selection so you can turn your ice cream into a sundae.

Our exclusive wine cellar with selection of fine wines from all over the world is now operational. Guest can visit the cellar and taste the wines and can also have private sessions of wine and food pairing.

1. The sales conditions for the reserved rate or package specify the terms for cancelling and/or changing the reservation.
2. Prepaid reservations can be changed or cancelled free of charge up to 30 days prior to arrival; thereafter 100% of stay charged; No-Show: 100% of stay charged, for Mauritian & Reunion Island properties.
Note for LUX* South Ari Atoll, Maldives, the following applies:
From 01.02.2024 to 22.12.2024: Prepaid, refundable and amendable up to 30 days prior to arrival.  Thereafter and for no-show 100% charged.
From 23.12.2024 to 05.01.2025: Prepaid, refundable and amendable up to 60 days prior to arrival. Thereafter and for no-show 100% charged.
From 06.01.2025 to 31.01.2025: Prepaid, refundable and amendable up to 30 days prior to arrival. Thereafter and for no-show 100% charged.
If ever the reservation includes non-refundable components, it will be stipulated in the sales conditions for the rate or package.
3. When the sales conditions for the reserved rate or package allow:
- The reservation can be cancelled via the “Contact Us” section on www.luxresorts.com website or by contacting Customer Services on the contact details stated above in Article 9 in Terms and Conditions.
- Changes to the reservation can be made with Customer Services, whose contact details are stated on the reservation confirmation sent by email and in Article 9 above.
4. In the event that the stay is interrupted, the agreed price will be paid in full. No reimbursement will be given for a prepaid reservation.
5. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the customer must vacate the room before 12 p.m. on the last day of the reservation, unless otherwise stated in the rate conditions booked. Failure to do so shall result in the customer being billed for an extra night.
